In a world where comic book films are getting sequels or reboots, no franchise is safe! Variety is reporting that Fox is looking to revive Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neil's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen with the creative talents of the Black List's John Davis and his Davis Entertainment Production company.
Apparently this isn't the first time Fox has tried to get this property about a group of Victorian fictional characters banding together to save the world back into mainstream media. After the failure of the 2003 release Fox attempted to move forward with a TV show in 2013 with no luck.
Hopefully, this third time will be more successful. There's no reason why this film shouldn't be great. The Avengers prove that Fox can have a fantastic super hero team dominate the box office. Maybe this time keep the original line up from the comic and NOT add in other characters.
