Ridley Scott is no stranger to the work of Philip K. Dick. You may have heard about this little indie film he made called Blade Runner which was an adaption of Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sleep?.
Now the director has returned to the ground breaking imagination of this seminal writer to adapt The Man in the High Castle. Unlike Androids this is a alternate history of the events after WWII were Germany and Japan had won and split apart the US. Japan controlling the West Coast and Germany controlling the East. The series is set in 1962 America.
Rather than having a cinematic release, Scott has partnered with Amazon to produce a 10 episode series that will be streaming this Fall. If you can't wait, the first two episodes will air on July 10th from the SDCC which will also be live streamed on the Entertainment Weekly website.
