What we have here are the list of people we all work with. This may seem like it's synonymous with working in an office, but it's not. Every job and career deal with people like this every time they go into work. Since I'm a Marvel Comics fan, I figure the best way to describe these people is to do it in comic book terms.
This is the coworker that loves to tell you how they never do anything wrong. Love throwing it in your face that they are never late (in fact they mention they come in early as well) and how they have never broken a rule at work ever. They also have no social life, barely have any friends at work, and have more than likely ruined any relationship they've ever had because work always comes first. Which wouldn't be bad if they didn't throw it in your face all the time. A lot of their coworkers don't talk to this person, but know if they give them a project it will get done. Reliable and annoying.
They're your boss and they are an asshole. There is only one law of the land and that's the law they create. Who cares what the handbook says or what corporate wants. You are to do what they say or you will be reprimanded. If this is your boss, they have constantly called you into the office for something and will try and use intimidation as a means of leadership. Sadly, this doesn't always work and there is a high turnover rate.
Angry, bitter, been around the job forever but isn't the boss even thought they know their way around the work place better than their superiors and they are usually everyone's favorite coworker. No matter what they do, you know they are doing it with everyone's best interest in mind. When something goes down, they are usually the first person to rally people together to help. When the time comes, they will take the hard part of the project and won't ask for any recognition. They may take work home, but they still have a social life. And they tend to drink a lot to relax from a day's work of being the leader and getting no credit.
Smooth, suave, inventive, and has a way with words. This person gets away with everything. They show up late and leave early, eat other people's food in the refrigerator, they talk back to management, and they might even show up to work drunk and nothing will be said except "Oh, that's just (add name here), he's ok". They are also one step away from being the next person on this list.
All the attributes of the Tony Stark except he goes too far and nobody likes them and they're creepy. They get drunk at Christmas parties and hit on people, show up hung over and drunk and do nothing all day. How do they still have a job? They do just enough to get by and continue being creepy. It's very annoying and they've probably had to go to sexual harassment training more than once. Good news is they'll get fired eventually.
You'll hear this said over and over with this one "You play too much". The Loki is an asshole. There's no other way to describe them. They make inappropriate jokes at inopportune times, they'll put salt in your sugar bowl, and when you speak up they'll act like THEY are the victim. But they have some type of spell on everybody so they'll never get fired. The one good trait of a Loki is that they tend to know everything that's going on. So they're good to keep close and not screw over.
These guys are great. Show them how to do something one time and they are all over it. You don't need to follow up on their work because it's a guarantee that they did the job right. The only disadvantage of having people like this around is that they are too good and they know it. If they don't get smug, then they are model employees.
Paste Pot Pete:
These people never get anything done right or on time. And when the project is done it's done sloppy. But they never get fired.
